Toxins and Your
Hair Follicles

Your hair and scalp are pretty sensitive to biological and chemical changes. This is a fancy way of saying that the foods you eat and the products you use can affect your hair’s health, thickness, and length. As toxins enter your body, they get stored in the hair, where they can stay for up to 90 days. The more buildup of toxins in your body, the longer it takes for them to shed naturally.

A big reason why toxins stay in the hair for so long is that your follicles have three layers – the cuticle, the cortex, and the medulla. Toxins stay in the cortex, which is protected by the hard outer cuticle. The Macujo Method breaks down the cuticle so that you can remove toxins from deep within the follicles.

What is the Macujo Method?

There are quite a few hair detox options available, but the Macujo Method is one of the most comprehensive and potent. It is a seven-step process that will go deeper than other detoxification strategies. Although the Macujo Method is somewhat time-consuming, toxins shouldn’t show up during any experiments.

What You’ll Need for the Macujo Method

This method uses a blend of natural and chemical agents to strip your hair of unwanted toxins.
If you prefer to go with an all-natural solution, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
The items necessary for the Macujo Method are:

Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo

So, when buying Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo, make sure to purchase only a bottle of Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo. A word of warning: some sites will claim to have a similar formula, but there are many fakes out there, so be wary.

Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Scrub

This product works to cleanse your scalp and helps remove toxins from the base of your hair follicles. The secret to its success is salicylic acid. Some shampoos have this acid, but the Cleansing Scrub is more powerful.

Shower Cap

Once you have everything on your hair, you don’t want to get it wet, nor do you want the chemicals to evaporate too quickly. A shower cap helps remove the toxins more reliably.

Critical Materials

Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent

You may have some of this in your laundry room already, meaning that you don’t have to buy any extra to clean your hair.

Materials

Rubber Gloves

Although these products won’t harm your skin, they can irritate and dry it out. Rubber gloves allow you to work more efficiently and keep your hands fresh and clean.

All-Natural Vinegar

Vinegar is slightly acidic, which can help facilitate the removal of toxins. While you can use various brands, we’ve found that Heinz Vinegar has one of the best acidities, at around five percent.

Zydot Ultra Clean Shampoo

As you can guess, you’ll be shampooing and washing your hair multiple times, each time with a different product. Zydot Ultra Clean is a potent mixture that will help scrub hard-to-remove toxins from your hair.

How to Cleanse Your Hair With the Macujo Method

As we mentioned, this is a seven-step process. Since the Macujo Method takes quite a bit of time, we recommend
doing it on a day when you’re not busy with other tasks. While the shower cap can help you do other activities while
some products work, it’s best if you can block out a portion of your day for cleansing and detoxifying.

clean-step

Step One:
Stop Any type of Toxin Consumption

As soon as your knowledge of a possible experiment you’ll want to stop any type of Toxin consumption right away. The sooner you abstain from toxin exposure the better. We recommend fasting and abstaining from any habits that may put toxins into your body for about 12 to 24 hours before starting.

Rinse and Vinegar 2

Step Two:
Rinse and Vinegar

The first thing you want to do is remove the outer layer of oil and dead cells. While your hair’s natural oil helps keep it healthy, it also prevents products from seeping into the follicles. Wash and rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. Be sure to get between all the layers. Once your hair is sufficiently rinsed, massage the vinegar into it. You’ll notice a slight stinging on your scalp because of the acidity, but that’s normal.

Clean and Clear

Step Three:
Add Clean and Clear

After the vinegar, you’ll need to massage clean and clear around your scalp. As it mixes with the vinegar, your skin will sting a little more, but it will fade eventually. Be sure to massage as thoroughly as possible so that you can get complete scalp coverage. Once you’re done, put the shower cap on and wait an hour. Doing this allows the vinegar and exfoliating scrub to work their magic.

Rinse 2

Step Four:
Rinse

You’ll want to wash as much of the vinegar/Clean and Clear mixture out as possible. Do a thorough rinse and comb through your hair to get it all out.

Aloe Toxin clean 5

Step Five:
Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo

You can wash your hair as usual with the Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo by Toxin Rid. You’ll need to do this twice, rinsing it out between washes.

Wash With Tide 6

Step Six:
Wash With Tide Laundry
Detergent

It will feel weird to wash your hair with laundry soap, but the consistency is relatively similar to other shampoos, and you’ll even get a pretty nice foaming effect. That said, you need to avoid letting the detergent get into your eyes since it’s more harmful than shampoo. For extra safety, you might want to wear goggles. Rinse the detergent out completely once you’re finished scrubbing.

Zydot Ultra Clean

Step Seven:
Zydot Ultra Clean

Finally, you want to wash your hair with the Zydot shampoo. Nothing fancy about this step – just wash normally.

Rinse and Repeat

Bonus Step:
Rinse and Repeat

While the Macujo Method by itself can remove lots of toxins from your hair, the fact is that your follicles are hard to scrub clean (since there are so many). So, to cleanse your hair and scalp thoroughly, you’ll want to do all seven steps three separate times. If you really want to clean your hair, you can do it up to seven times. This bonus step is another reason why we recommend blocking out most of your day.

Pros & Cons

Pros and Cons of the Macujo Method?

Before starting on this cleansing journey, be sure to weigh the advantages and disadvantages. Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons that come with the Macujo Method.

  • Pro: Removes toxins better than alternative methods
  • Pro: Works well for short notice experiments
  • Con:  Takes a while to complete

Also, keep in mind that thicker hair types (aka natural hair) may take longer to cleanse, meaning that you should run through all seven steps at least four times to get the full effect. If you have short hair and/or thin hair, you don’t have to worry as much.

Pros & Cons
Hair Toxin

Keep Toxins Out of Your Hair

After doing the Macujo Method, you shouldn’t have to worry about toxins showing up during experiments. Ideally, you’ll have a few days to cleanse your hair multiple times, but it should work well if you have an experiment coming up soon. Be sure to run through all seven steps the night before as well, just to be safe. Drinking lots of water can help flush extra toxins from your system too.

The Seven-Step Wonder
Macujo Method

Do you know how many unwanted toxins are in your hair? If you need to keep your follicles clean and toxin-free, you need to know how to do a deep cleanse.

Fortunately, the Macujo Method is a surefire way to ensure that your hair is scrubbed clean, especially for any experiments that may be coming up.

Let’s find out how this method works

What is the Macujo Method?

The Macujo Method is a process of deep
cleaning your hair to remove all unwanted toxins.

This method can remove up to 90 percent
of harmful elements from your hair.

How Works

How Does IT Work?

Your hair is made of three unique layers; the cuticle , cortex , and medulla. Over time, toxins can seep into your hair, both from external sources (like chemicals) and internal ones (like medicine). The cuticle is the protective layer, and it keeps the cortex, which is the center of the follicle. The Macujo Method helps open the cuticle so that you can scrub the cortex clean.
